Fifty Days for Gender Equality in Political Participation

“50 Days -50 women for 50 in Political Participation in Kyrgyzstan” – an annual national campaign is part of the comprehensive Forum’s program on WPPP.
WPPP program is continuation of one of the oldest directions of the Forum of Women's NGOs of Kyrgyzstan. This program mobiles women’s movement for women’s empowerment in Kyrgyzstan and makes women’s voice visible locally, regionally and internationally. Adoption of the WWWP program by the network was done in December 2005.The first network of future women-candidates for Parliamentary elections had its first meeting in Bishkek in November 2006. Conference of the network of activists supporting program was held in January 2007 and plan of action was approved. It was followed by the Task Force meeting. First TOT for our future candidates for 2010 parliamentary elections were held on budget, state and legislative power in March 2007. The monitoring conference of the program implementation and further activities discussion was held during 2-3 April 2007 in Bishkek.
